What is the first Shiatsu session like?
In the first session, the first thing we will do will be to know your general condition to identify the starting point and to begin to guide the therapy.
Basic questions are asked about the reason for the consultation (sleep quality, type of diet, type of work, postural routines, general emotional state, etc.) because all these factors can influence the current situation. With this information, the therapist will be able to define the appropriate treatment according to your needs.
The Shiatsu session is performed in a room equipped with a stretcher and while receiving therapy, general rest is encouraged.
At the end of the first session, the therapist gives you her evaluation and informs you of the appropriate treatment to follow, including exercises or routines that can promote recovery.
What are the most common sensations after a Shiatsu session?
The sensations after a Shiatsu session depend a lot on each person, their health and their physical makeup. But there are general features, such as:

-Relaxation, because the nervous system releases tension and allows the mind and body to relax and rest.

How many Shiatsu sessions do I need?
Shiatsu is a physical and energy therapy, recovery from stress or a body ailment depends on the energy level or vitality of the person.
Vitality is stimulated and strengthened by taking care of our diet, our bodily habits and our emotional psychic attitude. Any alteration (stress) of one of these fields can end up interfering with our health. When the vital level is high, the recovery is usually quite fast. While if the vital level is low, the recovery will be slower.
How many Shiatsu sessions are recommended?
Normally, it is necessary to observe, during the following days, how the body and the mind react to the first session in order to evaluate the subsequent needs, since each person and each organism reacts according to their personal state. But, in general, the recommendations would be the following:
* Intensive period: 1 visit a week for 4-5 weeks.
* Stabilization period: 1 visit every two weeks for 2-3 months.
* Maintenance period: Once an optimal recovery has been achieved, one visit per month, or every month and a half, is recommended as a way of maintaining health and quality of life.
